Understand your distribution options
When you change jobs or get ready for retirement, you have options. Learn the advantages and disadvantages of taking the distribution in cash, leaving the money in your former employer’s retirement plan, rolling it into your new employer’s retirement plan, or rolling the eligible assets into an IRA. That way you’ll make the best decision for you.
