Hands on Portland Cares Day 2009
The goal of Portland Cares Day is to engage neighbors in a wide variety of projects in the Portland community. First Tech employees will partner with Medical Teams International to build medical supply care packages for countries in need. Bellevue Jazz Festival-Presented by First Tech Credit Union
First Tech is proud to present the 2009 Bellevue Jazz Festival for your enjoyment. Bellevue’s love of jazz dates back to 1978 and we are honored to have the opportunity to help continue the tradition. Featured artists will include Dianne Reeves, the Mingus Big Band, Kurt Elling, Patricia Barber, Danilo Perez, and Mose Allison Trio. Individual concert tickets range from $20 to $85. Easter Seals Bloomfest
Easter Seals has been helping individuals with disabilities and special needs live better lives for more than 80 years. Whether helping someone improve physical mobility, return to work or simply gain greater independence for everyday living, Easter Seals offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities address life's challenges and achieve personal goals. During the week of April 6 - 11, First Tech will partner with Easter Seals to sell bouquets of fresh cut tulips for just $5. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Easter Seals.

SOLV IT for Earth Day
SOLV IT, focuses on cleaning illegal dumpsites, beautifying and enhancing neighborhoods and public spaces and restoring local watersheds. In the past nineteen years, SOLV IT volunteers have removed almost 6,855 tons of debris from illegal dumpsites, neighborhoods and natural areas. This year First Tech staff and their families will roll up their sleeves and help care for our community.

Hands on Portland Cares Day 2009
Hands On Greater Portland connects volunteers with opportunities to feed the hungry, teach children, house the homeless, and restore the environment. The 6th annual Hands On Greater Portland Cares Day will engage over 1,500 volunteers in projects around our community.

March of Dimes: March for Babies
First Tech has a very close relationship with March of Dimes. Our internal charitable giving committee works year round to raise money for the organization. March of Dimes has a mission to save the lives of premature babies. March for Babies is the organization’s largest fundraiser in which millions of people from all over the country gather donations and then take part in an inspiring 10K walk.

First Tech is honored again to be a part of Relay for Life in the Hillsboro area. This year’s relay will be held at Hillsboro Stadium. Relay for Life is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, as well as a time to remember cancer victims and celebrate survivors.

Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival-Presented by First Tech Credit Union
The Blues Festival is one of the most popular summer time events in Portland. All proceeds benefit the Oregon Food Bank. This cultural event combines some of the greatest blues musicians in the world and delicious local foods. This year’s lineup includes Etta James, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Ryan Shaw, Johnny Winter and more.

Awesome 3000-Presented by First Tech Credit Union
Awesome 3000 is a hugely popular event in the Salem community and First Tech is proud to return as the presenting sponsor. Students from Salem- Keizer schools participate in a day of physical activity while being cheered on by their families and teachers at McCullough Stadium. The Salem-Keizer Education Foundation divides the money raised into grants for teachers to help them implement a variety of educational strategies.

The Gift of Literacy
The Gift of Literacy is an annual project that provides all first-grade students in Springfield with their choice of a hardbound book, selected from a collection of ten books they have been reading throughout the year. The presentation includes a small-group reading by guest readers to emphasize the importance of reading in our lives.

Great Rotary Duck Race-Presented by First Tech Credit Union
Buy a duck and join us to cheer it on. First Tech has been a proud supporter of the Great Rotary Duck Race since 2006. All proceeds benefit five local agencies who provide services for the treatment and prevention of child abuse in Lane County.
